Baked apples with walnuts
Print Recipe
Ingredients
Check off the ingredients you have used in the recipe or note the ingredients you have and add the rest to the shopping list by clicking the button below.
10 red apples
10 tsp of margarine
1 cup of brown sugar
1½ cups of coarsely chopped walnuts
½ tbsp of cinnamon
1 cup of water
Shot of cognac
1 stick cinnamon (optional)
Execution Method
01
Wash the apples thoroughly and let them dry.
02
Use a special tool to core the apple (remove the seeds and leave a circular, vertical hole in each apple).
03
Then, fill this hole with a teaspoon of butter, walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
04
Top each apple off with a whole nut if desired and sprinkle with sugar.
05
Repeat the same process for each apple.
06
Place the fruits in a baking dish and add the water, cognac and cinnamon stick.
07
Bake the apples at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes, until well softened.
08
When the apples are ready, garnish with cinnamon and finely chopped walnuts, and serve immediately.
09
These baked apples are even more scrumptious served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or yogurt.
